Dedicated to Tuka: II Carnaby Cockatoos on my Fence

Tuka's song, 'State of Mind' is playing in the background, against the sound of two cockatoos that sometimes come into my garden. This is a stunning, sensitive song and is my favourite from his album which he released on Friday. The cockatoo in the front is a girl (white beak, a little fussy, and doesn't want him to be too clingy) while the cockatoo at the back is a boy (black beak, high crown... doesn't always get it quite right). Earlier in the year, he flew out to their roost about four times a day (and again at night) to feed her while she sat on their egg.
